We have recently had several projects carried out (summer/fall, 2013) at our house, done by Mr. Keith Postma, of Postma Home Improvements and Renovations. Two new fences and gates were constructed, plus eaves-trough repair and replacement, several replacement windows and capping, as well as back porch and new stone patio.
All work was performed in a friendly and trustworthy fashion, and with high skill, flexibility, timeliness, efficiency, and utmost reliability in all aspects. Our family recently purchased a larger resale home with an unfinished basement. We looked for a company with the skills and reputation to finish this potential living space, but we particularly wanted a business with a positive affiliation to the Better Business Bureau for our own protection. We found Postma Home Improvements.
Keith Postma worked with us to map out the new basement design, discussed expectations and deliverables for his team, and outlined the timelines involved for the desired work. We handed Keith our key and our trust and we have been served well by placing both with this company. Postma’s team took the time to ensure appropriate attention to detail was given and kept us up to date on progress along the way.
Few difficulties were encountered throughout this experience, but when they were, Keith and his team helped to resolve them effectively and efficiently. We are extremely pleased with the results and are now the owners of a fabulous finished basement with a beautiful bathroom, family room, office, storage space, and an extra laundry cupboard. Postma Home Renovations completed three rooms for us over the past month and we are just thrilled with the work done. The end results were above and beyond our original expectations. Keith Postma installed a beautiful large shower in our upstairs bathroom, enlarged the room, dry-walled the entire bathroom (to get rid of the old dark paneling) and also put in a new ceramic floor. The attention to detail was commendable and Keith ensured that those working for him were just as fussy as he was. We were surprised at his experience and ability to do all sorts of jobs very well: framing, dry-walling and mudding, electrical, plumbing, tile cutting and installation, hanging doors and installing the handles, as well as the finishing touches of installing the toilet, sink, shelves etc. And of course it was the quality of all this work that made us so happy – made to last a lifetime with no shortcuts taken.
Keith also converted an unused bedroom into a laundry room. This involved running electrical, hot and cold water lines, hooking into sanitary sewer lines (all under the house in the earth crawl space). He installed additional sub-floor and then a beautiful tile floor. The finishing touches included installing the washer, dryer, wall shelves and laundry tub.
The last job was to insulate and dry-wall the ceiling of the garage. We were so pleased with this job as well – the dry-wall looks like plaster with a smooth, multi-layer mud job and then the ceiling was primed with a high quality primer. The pictures tell the story. We would recommend Keith to anyone looking to do home renovations.

We just wanted to take a minute to thank you and your employees for the excellent work you did on our bathroom. Everyone was knowledgeable in every aspect of our project and was able to answer any questions we had, and even provided answers and insight for things we did not even think of. The workers were extremely polite, courtesy and cleaned up each day they were there. We could not be happier with the outcome. We were amazed each day at the progress your workers have made. The framing for the shower and closet, tiling and the cabinetry all exceeded our expectations.
I would recommend your company to anyone who wants to work with a company that is polite, informative, reliable, and has a great work ethic.
